Target Audience

The target audience I will be aiming at is an Urban based target audience. I will be aiming my magazine at ‘Stylers’ as describe by the UK Tribes website which was built categorising types of people and social groups ranging from ‘Mainstream’ to ‘Aspirant’ the ‘Leading Edge’ and many more.

I will be aiming for the ‘Stylers’. ‘Stylers’ aim for the good life. They are aspirational and love the idea of the life in the city. From buying big brand products such as Beats, Nike clothing for boys and River Island for girls right through to social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

‘Stylers’ love listening to hip-hop, RnB and pop music.  They enjoy listening to Kiss FM and Choice FM with the latest’s music with some mix of old tunes. Stylers also must have the latest in technology. Samsung TV’s more specifically smart TV’s, latest smart phone technology such as the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy phone range. Stylers look at three things in life. Music, status and style. Music is something Stylers cannot live without its essential in life, from walking to school to getting the train to work it’s something that they live for. Status is very important for Stylers they need to have a well-respected job that gives them independence and most importantly respect and good money. The good money normally leads to lots of spending on clothing, technology and music. This is there style, having the latest trends in clothing and how important they look and come across to others.

Stylers come in all forms from as young as 15 to as old as 28. Student or a professional in a job my magazine appeals to all the descriptions above offering a fresh design with a young appealing name that does what it says. It Discover’s the latest news in music, gives the best and worst reviews in music videos and interviews the freshest, most popular artists in the pop/hip-hop industry.
